It truly was a stage performance full of love。 Michishige hurt her leg and the performance had to be stopped several times、 but I feel that was remarkable。 That was very much like her。 However、 I think that it creates good memories when things like that happen。 Recently, the trend has been that graduates would read out from a letter、 but she read out her words without anything in hand。 You'd expect no less。

Mano Erina Photobook 'Zero' Press Conference

On the 31st of August 2014, Mano Erina held a press conference, along with a handshake event, in commemoration of her latest photobook 'Zero'.

The theme of the photobook is 'The two Erinas.' One Mano is a girl living in the countryside, experiencing the comfort of the dearly-missed traditional lifestyle. While the other is a brave girl, working hard in order to find happiness in the city.

On releasing a photobook
'That's right. First, it's been a year and a half since I've graduated from Hello! Project, but I'm happy to release a photo book even after I've graduated. We took photos in Yamaguchi and Tokyo for this one. My previous photo book was in Hawaii, so I enjoyed myself there just after graduating from Hello! Project. Now that I'm working hard at acting, there are a lot of photos where I'm putting in a bit of acting, and personally, it's ended up with a more mature atmosphere. Even I myself had no idea when I learnt how to make such expressions.'

On any incidents of note that occured during the photo shoot
'It was the first time I've been to Yamaguchi prefecture, but the weather wasn't really that great...' (It was revealed that there was heavy downpour during the photo shoot, proving that she was unable to graduate from being an Ame onna)
'But it was pretty relaxing. Facing the sea, I'd turn around, and see the mountains. I was in the midst of an abundance of nature.'

You know, Mano-chan's birthday is in April. We've exchanged contact details, and we occasionally send messages to one another. But I sent her a birthday message in April, and she still hasn't replied (laughs).

I was pretty shocked. I mean, it's already been about four months. But she still hasn't replied, which personally has me wondering when she'll reply. Mano-chan, please respond (laughs).

This first one isn't exactly from Twitter, but it's succinct and relevant enough to sneak in here.

Extract from Sanspo newspaper:

[Berryz Kobo] went to inform ℃－ｕｔｅ directly in their dressing room.
Both groups were born of and split from the Hello! Project Kids, where they were brought together through an audition as 'younger sisters' for MoMusu., so there were strong bonds between them.
Crying together with them, ℃－ｕｔｅ leader Yajima Maimi (22) acknowledged that 'We were always together from when we were small, so all sorts of things came back to me. Since this is their decision, we too wish to support them.'

As always, Mano Erina's first thoughts sum up the general mood. Even to the last line, at least for me.

Mano Erina-chan acts as main character Izumino Akira in 'The Next Generation Patlabor Dai 1-Shou', the live action adaptation of the anime 'Mobile Police Patlabor'.

How did you feel when you found out that you would be starring in the movie?
Since there are a lot of fans of the original work, which had come out even before I was born, I was extremely anxious. But, with Oshii Mamoru-director's statement, 'The setting is changing, and I'd like to remake Patlabor anew', something original was fine by me, and I started to look forward to it.

You're acting as Akira, what sort of girl is she?
A girl who's like the sun. Wanting to ride the robots called Labors stationed at Special Vehicle Section 2, she joined the police force. At any rate, she's positive and spirited.

Any common points between Akira and Mano-chan?
The things that fits us both the most, it that we love games. Both Akura and I are gamers! The scene where I'm having a conversation while playing a game is something that often happens normally, so it was easy to act out (laughs).

Well, what do you think of guys who are otaku?
I like anime and manga, so I think that they're good! We can meet and introduce our favourite works to one another.

What does Mano-chan recommend?
I'm currently into 'Hero Mask' , a manga in a school setting. The protagonist fights not with special powers, but only with a strong sense of justice, it's so cool!

Mano, you're hawt and I'd let you finish, but Gocchin is my favourite soloist by far.

Most of the older generation were technically before I got into idols, though I'm sure I happened onto some of Ayaya's hits.
I entered into the world of H!P slightly before Mano debuted. At the moment, it's Mano, Kikka, and Kitahara who are the H!P soloists.
I'm not a great fan of Sayaka. Kikka has a pretty good voice, but I haven't warmed to her as an idol.
That leaves Mano. I found her slightly boring, but I've warmed up to her. Most of her songs definitely are boring, but as I've followed her she's always been a pretty face.
Mano would've won by a landslide if I'd never happened on this video:

Gocchin was actually the first name from MoMusu that stuck in my mind. I had probably heard of Ayaya and Nacchi, but Goto Maki remains fresh in my mind. Not that there was that much info at the time - this was during the age of dialup and 56k modems.

I did like Garasu no Pumps, and I was familiar with Some Boys Touch. But having seen her in action makes me appreciate those even more.
Pity she's taking a sabbatical in order to fill her time with Monster Hunter from being an idol.

C'mon Mano, don't be mad, you're still my favourite active idol. Here, have a drink!
