This is something that caught my eye - while waiting for the photo shoot, the 5 of you got together and sang quite a bit. Is this something that you've decided on together, as a group?

Miyazaki: Come to think of it, now that you mention it, I guess that's certainly the case. For us, I guess waiting time = singing time (laughs).

Miyamoto: Since we're drawing closer to the live performances, we might just be unconsciously gathering around, so that we can double the amount of our singing!

Just listening to that makes me think that you're really diligent~, but don't you often make a great uproar while someone's singing?

Kanazawa: That's when someone's mimicking another members' singing habits (laughs). Since it seems I have certain peculiarities to my singing, I often get mimicked. Although I don't think it matches me at all...

Fukumura Mizuki: 50 Questions

On the 10th of July, Fukumura Mizuki held a talk event at the Hello! Project Official Shop in Akihabara, entitled 'Hello! Pro Shop One Thousand and One Nights ~The Eight Night~'. The opening half was '50 Questions for Fukumura Mizuki', while the concluding half was a release commemoration talk show for her recent photo book 'Utakata'. Below I cover the 50 questions.

In this so-called Idol Warring States Period, there are many idol groups currently flourishing. Having to balance school life and work as an idol, they are intently doing their best. Amongst them are the so-called 'millenium' generation of those born around the year 2000, and it's remarkable how these girls in middle school are flourishing. And thus, the editorial department felt that there should be a discussion with this next generation, and would like to try tackling in this in a feature that puts the spotlight on idols currently in middle school. Well then, let us have a careful look at what these girls are thinking about now, and what their goals are for the future!!

With a concert tour from March, and a single release in April, plus commercial appearances; it's getting harder and harder to tear your eyes away from Morning Musume. '14! From their ranks, we will be care~fully asking these 2 girls from the 10th generation, Sato Masaki and Kudo Haruka, about their activities as middle school students and their thoughts at present, as well as about Morning Musume. '14 in the future!

Fukumura Mizuki 2nd PB 'Utakata' Press Conference

Fukuhime held a press conference for her 2nd photo book 'Utakata' on the 3rd of July, just before its release commemoration handshake event.

You've come out with this photo book, how are its contents?
I'm now seventeen. And probably,  I think a seventeen year old is slightly mature, in clothes and expressions. I think we captured a lot of those expressions that I wouldn't be able to pull off any other time.

“Foster parent” cheoreographer Natsu Mayumi talks about Goto Maki's ability 「No.1 in MoMusu。、AKB」

Recently, dance producer Natsu Mayumi-shi released her first business book, 'What does an ace do?' (Sunmark Publishing). In the case of Morning Musume. and AKB48, Natsu-shi  played a part of their formation, and was a familiar face to the girls, their 'foster parent'. When asked, amongst the girls she had taken care of so far, which idol was number one in talent, she clearly explained, 'That would be Goto Maki (clearly). If you're talking within Morning Musume. and AKB48, she was number one in the sense of overwhelming talent'.
